FCMAT is requesting applications of interest from qualified candidates to serve as the county administrator at Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD). Since 2012, the district has been under state receivership due to fiscal insolvency. The administrator serves under the direction and supervision of Dr. Debra Duardo, Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools. FCMAT is the agency designated to identify and vet candidates to serve as county administrators or trustees for districts in receivership. The final selection of a candidate for Inglewood Unified School District will be made by Dr. Duardo, with the concurrence of the state superintendent of public instruction and the president of the state board of education. In partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) support team, the administrator provides day-to-day governance and administrative leadership in the district, and will implement and execute the jointly developed IUSD/LACOE action plan that prioritizes the outstanding items in the recovery process.
