Candidates hired as van drivers are expected to obtain the required credentials/licenses to become a bus driver in the state of California. Upon certification, the employee will be moved to the Bus Driver classification.
Requirements
*Valid California Class C Driver's License & Current First Aid Certificate (Please scan and attach to your on-line application.) Must participate in the District’s drug testing program, including pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion testing.
Education and Experience
Any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities; good driving record and a work history demonstrating dependability and reliability.

THE POSITION Under general supervision, provides safe and efficient transportation in driving a van over an assigned route in the transport of students to and from school or other school-related activities; and performs related work as required. Candidates hired as van drivers are expected to obtain the required credentials/licenses to become a bus driver in the state of California. Upon certification, the employee will be moved to the Bus Driver classification.
