Job Summary

Job Summary

Work with adult students as a substitute teacher in our ESL, GED/High School Diploma and CTE programs. Choose your own classes and times to fill in for daytime, evening or long term. We are particularly looking for substitutes available in the evenings. The following are examples of classes we offer. Our class sizes are small and we have department lead teachers to support you: GED Test Preparation with classes in Math/Science and Language Arts/Social Science High School Diploma Program English as a Second Language (ESL) Career Technical Education (CTE)

Requirements / Qualifications

A California teaching credential or substitute teaching permit is required. Applicants for a 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit are only required to hold a Bachelor's degree at this time. The Basic Skills requirement (CBEST or CSET) has been waived by the California Teaching Commission effective January 1, 2023.
