Job Summary

La Jolla Elementary has one part-time .40 FTE in-school resource teacher vacancy. The 0.4 FTE In-School Resource Teacher will plan for and conduct small group instruction in the areas of literacy, designated ELD, and/or mathematics for students in Kindergarten. The In-School Resource Teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers, PLC teams, and other colleagues to analyze data, plan instruction, and monitor the effectiveness of interventions. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of research-based best practices, possess effective communication skills, have strong organizational skills, be flexible and willing to adapt, and be a team player. We would like the In-School Resource Teacher to work 4 hours per day, four days a week - ideally Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualified applicants must have a valid California multiple subjects credential. Applicant's credential must be attached to their application and registered with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing by the close of the posting. Candidates should have recent classroom teaching experience; experience implementing research-based, data-driven, targeted interventions in ELA and mathematics; and experience providing Designated ELD instruction to Multilingual Learners. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
