Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Graduation from high school or its equivalent, supplemented by college level course work in personnel management; three years of increasingly responsible human resources experience, including familiarity with recruiting practices; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. • Valid Class C CA driver license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s Vehicle Insurance Policy. • Knowledge of state credential requirements and processing; Commission on Teacher Credentialing Induction Program requirements; State Education Code and fair employment laws, rules, regulations related to the processing of certificated personnel. • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment. • Knowledge of oral and written communication skills; correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. • Knowledge of District organization, operations, policies and objectives involving certificated positions. • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment, use word processing, spreadsheet, and other office software programs. • Ability to assist certificated staff in obtaining and renewing teaching credentials required by the position. • Ability to read and interpret transcripts; interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures. • Ability to plan and organize work, maintain records and prepare reports; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. • Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
