Requirements / Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Training, Experience and Educational Requirements: o Two years of experience, either paid or unpaid, working with children in an instructional or supervisory capacity; o Experience as a parent or volunteer experience with a youth organization or group is regarded as qualifying; o Experience, either paid or unpaid, working with people who have special needs. o 60 semester units of college with a grade C or better. o Bilingual is highly desirable. o First aide and/or CPR training is desirable. Certificates/Licenses: Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of: o English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, and mathematics. Ability to: o Learn and apply the principles of general classroom practices and procedures; o Learn to plan, organize and follow through with instructional plans and procedures; o Understand and communicate with students; o Keep records and prepares reports o Operate duplicating, audio-visual and other school equipment; o Understand and follow written and oral directions;
