Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, performs a variety of administrative duties related to the planning, organization and implementation of the District's facilities, maintenance, operations, construction and renovation projects; provides overall supervision and coordination of the District's facilities planning, construction, building maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial, security and delivery functions; maintains compliance with District policies and local, state and federal laws and regulations; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: Five years of responsible experience in maintenance, operations, or facility management. Experience must have included at least two years of supervising other managers in a medium to large sized enterprise which consisted of multiple sites. Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in a related field; candidates without a college degree may substitute qualifying experience above the 5-year minimum on a year-for-year basis. Please include educational documents, if applicable. License or Certificate: Possession of a valid State of California Class C driver's license. Ability to be insured and maintain vehicle liability and property damage insurance. Desirable Qualifications: Experience in facility management, construction, and inspection activities. Public school district or related experience preferred. Indoor and outdoor environment. Exposure to hazardous materials.
