Job Summary

Position Under administrative direction, works across LACOE divisions to assess potential barriers to diversity and inclusiveness amongst staff, and build inclusive leadership capabilities; plans, organizes, coordinates, and directs the activities and staff involved in the activities of the implementation of programs and systems that value and prioritize equity, diversity, and inclusion; assists school districts in establishing and sustaining culturally relevant and responsive student services; and provides program research and evaluation support and guidance to designated school districts in Los Angeles County.

Requirements / Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience that would be likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Five years of administrative experience in the research, development, and administration of programs, including three years of experience leading equity, diversity, and inclusion, and/or cultural competency initiatives. Director level experience preferred. Education: A master’s degree in education, business administration, public administration, social services, or a field closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE (Must attach a detailed certification/credential with document number to application): Must possess and maintain a Clear Administrative Services Credential. Additional Requirements/Information: A valid California driver's license, proof of insurability, and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
