Job Summary
Under the direction of the Site Administrator, employee will provide adapted physical education services (direct and/or consult), including assessments, program development and/or virtual or direct instruction to students. The APE Teacher will collaborate as well as consult with the team members, planning and implementing database instructional programs. As an employee of the Academy for Advancement of Children with Autism, they will follow the responsibilities and procedures as delineated in the AACA Personnel guidelines.

This is for our Antelope Valley CA location. We are a non-public school. We service students k-12 faced with a wide variety of developmental challenges. We are seeking a Adaptive Physical Education teacher with a heart for our population of students. Classroom sizes are very small, max. 8 students with one-to-one support. The right person would have a good understanding of ABA, be an outside the box thinker, understand the importance of collecting sound data, extremely organized, understand how to write and present a sound IEP. We are looking for someone with an excellent sense of humor, a positive attitude, and very kind. The ability to truly work as part of a team is a must. This position is mostly services with some assessment. We offer a great benefit package and are super fun to work with.
