Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Education Services and the direct supervision of site administrators, the Teacher position will plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides, supports, and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. This teacher position will collaborate with other instructional staff and school personnel. (Please see the Job Description for detailed information about this position).

Requirements / Qualifications

Placement is for the 2022/2023 school year and is open to: FULLY CREDENTIALED Teachers and candidates who will be INTERN ELIGIBLE by August 2022 (verified by a valid credential, program completion letter or Intern Eligible Letter). Please submit the following documents for this position: • Copy of Transcript (From BA/BS and beyond (upon hire, Official transcripts are required)) • Resume • Letter of Introduction • (Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three (3) letters of professional recommendation (within two (2) years of your application date (One from a Supervisor)) • TB Screening Result • English Learner Authorization • Single Subject Teaching Credential - Mathematics -Clear, Preliminary, Intern. (Please attach CTC public view of credential status or credential copy) • Test Results/Materials (Copies of CBEST and CSET or SSAT results) Mojave Unified School District participates in the Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) Teacher Induction Program. Participating teachers are provided with excellent support providers. Participation in the program is fully funded by the District. Eligible University Interns are also encouraged to apply for all Mojave Unified School District openings. The District partners with numerous Universities to employ and support teachers working under an intern credential. Brandman University; Cal State University - Bakersfield and San Bernardino; Fresno Pacific University; National University; Point Loma Nazarene University; Western Governors University; University of La Verne; and University of Phoenix are all among the schools we partner with. In addition, all Interns are assigned an experienced colleague who will serve as their dedicated Intern Mentor.

For teachers who are already established in the profession: All years of applicable experience will be accepted toward your placement on Mojave Unified’ s extremely competitive salary schedule. In addition to our competitive salary, we also offer an excellent benefits package, including: • Masters' and Doctorate stipend • Health & Welfare Benefits - including medical, dental and vision insurance coverage; life insurance policy; as well as the opportunity to purchase coverage through supplemental insurance companies.
