Coordinates and performs a variety of professional level administrative, technical, analytical, and consultative human resources functions in assigned areas. Areas of assignment may include several of the following functional areas: employee recruitment, equal employment opportunity and diversity, employee onboarding and offboarding, employment services, benefits administration, position control, HRIS, employee communications, and personnel records maintenance. Distinguishing Career Features The Human Resources Generalist, Senior is a senior-level technical contributor to district-wide Human Resources services that requires application of specialized knowledge in assigned areas. The Human Resources Generalist, Senior provides lead support and coordination of district-wide programs and services requiring a working knowledge of a full range of human resources laws, policies, practices, and procedures. In addition, this position maintains high standards for confidentiality, customer service, and the accurate input, maintenance, and retrieval of data within various HR systems. Advancement to this position is based on need and the ability to serve as a lead and subject matter expert to the district human resources generalist team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Specific duties may vary among departments, divisions and jobs. Incumbents typically perform a substantial portion or all the following types of duties, as assigned: 1. Serves as the District technical and resource lead to Human Resources Generalists on matters relating to human resources programs and services, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, equal employment opportunity, employee evaluations, employee compensation, faculty assignments, benefits administration, and leaves management.
