The Lead SEL Teacher / Instructional Coach will work closely with the Program Manager and fellow teachers to deliver the online and print components of various Impacter Pathway course modules, while also reviewing digital content and collaborating with other teams (e.g., Product, Design, Editorial, Marketing, etc.).

Requirements / Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE LEAD SEL TEACHER / INSTRUCTIONAL COACH Responsible for leading small-group cohorts of 4-12 students in SEL skill development using our proprietary software and content delivery system, as well as coaching/supporting beginning SEL instructors through mentorship opportunities and professional development experiences. Delivers student-facing social-emotional learning content in the form of lessons, practice questions, projects, etc., primarily online, for a specific grade band or grade level between 5th-12th. Works collaboratively across the FLEX ecosystem and with support staff to implement IMPACTER PATHWAY programming and promote SEL proficiency for students by the end of the course sequence. Facilitates data driven decision-making, creates high-quality learning moments, and fosters interpersonal relationships with students and families to serve and support tangible social-emotional growth. Meets regularly with the Content team to give and receive feedback on lessons. Commits to inclusive teaching practices that communicate a representative, equitable curriculum that supports students across a wide variety of contexts and backgrounds. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS OF THE LEAD SEL EACHER / INSTRUCTIONAL COACH: Bachelor’s degree 2+ years of experience working either (1) in educational settings, with evidence of excellence in instruction at relevant age levels or (2) at a PK-12 curriculum publishing company, with a focus on social-emotional learning. The ability to creatively use online media in adapting SEL education materials. An understanding of the progression of common core standards relative to grade level bands. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CURRICULUM DEVELOPER: Graduate degree in eduction (early childhood, elementary, or secondary), or principal licensure 5+ years of classroom teaching experience in grades 6-12 using problem-based approach
