Requirements / Qualifications

The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for Health Services Specialist. The Early Childhood Education Center (ECE) Health Services Specialist Licensed Vocational Nurse manages and monitors the health services component of the Early Childhood Education Program. Under the general supervision of the Health Services Manager, the ECE Health Services Specialist shall oversee the health and nutrition components of the program as outlined in local, state, and federal policies and regulations. The ECE Health Services Specialist works to improve the overall health of children and their families through assessment, education, and referrals. Selection Process: The selection process tentatively consists of the district's application screening and interview process. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Experience: One year of experience in pediatrics or community health is required. LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES * Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse. * School Audiometric Certificate (may obtain while working under supervision within the first year of employment). * CPR and First Aid certificates. * Valid California Driver’s License and provide a motor vehicle with insurance or the ability to secure transportation required to complete the duties of the position. PREFERENCE Bilingual - Spanish preferred. The following must be submitted with your on-line application for interview consideration:
