About KIPP Public Schools Northern California We are a thriving nonprofit network of 17 free, public charter schools open to all students. Our student community consists of over 6,000 elementary, middle, and high school students in East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, San Lorenzo, San Jose, Redwood City, and Stockton. Our student community demographics are: 94% identify as students of color, 79% qualify for free or reduced price lunch, 23% are English language learners, and 10% receive special education services. We strive to cultivate a representative team of teachers and leaders that reflect our students’ diversity.

Job Summary
In the KIPP Public Schools Northern California Teacher Residency program, we are passionate about developing lifelong education practitioners who are self reflective, equity minded and relentless in their work with students. We combine theory and practice by pairing our residents with a high performing mentor teacher while simultaneously completing Master’s level coursework and attending curated resident seminars. At the conclusion of the program residents will earn their Masters in Education (from Alder Graduate School of Education), their preliminary teaching credential and be eligible for job placement within a school. Requirements / Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree completed by the end of July 2023 -A grade point average (GPA) of 2.65 preferred, under 2.65 GPA should still apply -Eligible to work in the United States DACA, permanent residency, US Citizen
