POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking qualified individuals for full time management positions who, under the general direction of the Director of Child Development Services and the department supervisors, would organize, implement, and supervise a single site after school program for school age children and provide supervision and direction to assigned instructional aide staff. This career opportunity is a 40 hours per week, 10-months/year exempt, management position with paid holidays, sick leave and vacation. The District offers employees assigned to work more than 20 hours/week a comprehensive prorated benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: Any combination equivalent to two years of college level coursework at an accredited college. An Associate of Arts or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in child development, education or a related field is preferred. Child Development Supervisor’s Permit is preferred. Experience: Three (3) years related experience. Experience leading or supervising employees as well as a teaching credential or other childcare certification is desirable. Licenses Required: Valid, current First Aid and CPR Certificates must be obtained with in the first six months of employment. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of rules, regulations and daily practices of operating a student after-school facility and the ability to assist in program coordination, direct activities, assign personnel as needed to provide a position environment for children as well as communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff, parents, children, public and District personnel.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES This will be a promotional only recruitment, open only to current, permanent employees of Fullerton School District. Applications will be accepted from all qualified individuals. The examination may consist of written, performance and/or oral examination. To qualify to be placed on an eligibility list, a candidate must obtain a passing score on each part of the examination. Final scores will be obtained by combining the relative weights of scores on each part of the examination. If Veteran's credit is claimed, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the same time the application form is submitted or prior to testing. The life of the eligibility list will be one year. The resulting eligibility list will be used to fill future vacancies. Date of Examination The date of the examination(s) will be announced at a later date. Candidates who are among the most qualified shall be notified by email, or in writing and/or telephone of the time, date and place of the examination(s).
