Under direction, serve as a liaison between sites and departments and non-English speaking parents; provide assistance and information to parents in all aspects of student registration, placement and community resources; provide interpreting and translating services to site and district personnel. The Parent and Community Liaison – Bilingual serves as a liaison between sites and departments and non-English speaking parents, providing assistance and information to parents in all aspects of student registration, placement, and community resources.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and two years’ experience working with non-English speaking parents and students. Experience working with a community service organization is desirable. Valid California driver’s license required.
* Applicants for this position must be bilingual proficient in Spanish (speak, read, and write).' **Current available position is 30 hours per week/6 hours per day, 9.5 months a year (includes benefits)** **This recruitment will establish an eligibility list valid for 6 months to fill current and future vacancies.**
