Job Description / Essential Elements:

Under general supervision, performs journey level welding in support of the maintenance and repair of district facilities and equipment; applies specialized knowledge and experience to design, fabricate and accomplish metalwork projects; may lead/coordinate work of others in accomplishing work where welding or metalwork is required; installs and repairs of chain link and rod iron fencing; inspects and repairs playground and athletic equipment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by completion of an approved apprenticeship program in the welding trade and four years journey-level welding experience.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Valid California Class C driver’s license.
