7-8 hour shifts available. Benefits are available to all employees that work 4+ hours a day. ( may combine multiple shifts ) Vision, Dental , medical and *Retirement - *The District participates in California Public Employees’ Retirement System. Any employee that works a regular schedule of 4 hours or more per day or exceeds 1,000 hours per year is automatically enrolled in Cal Pers.
Requirements / Qualifications
The position requires completion of 40 college semester units, 24 of which must be in core coursework in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. Alternately may have an AA or higher degree in Early Childhood Education or related field plus units of supervised field experience in an ECE setting. Requires a permit issued by the California State Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing. Permits must be renewed every five years. In each five year period, before renewing the permit, 105 hours of professional growth must be completed. Pediatric First Aid and CPR Certificate within 90 days of employment.

Early Childhood Education Specialist's salary placement is dependent upon number of college units completed. To obtain the 2nd salary range, you must have 48 or more college semester units, 24 of which should be in Early Childhood Education or a BA in Early Childhood Education. To obtain the 3rd salary range, you must have 60 or more college semester units, 24 of which should be in Early Childhood Education or a MA in Early Childhood Education, or an Administrative or Teaching Credential.
