Job Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Public Affairs & Communications, the Manager, Media Design (MMD) is responsible for supporting the newly formed Public Affairs & Communications team that reports to the Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer (CSIO). The MMD will work closely with teams across Alliance, including leaders on the Strategy & Innovation team and broader Home Office, to support Advocacy, Stakeholder Engagement, Governance, and Communications media design efforts. The Public Affairs & Communications team is a newly formed team that serves as the main advancement function for the transformative work happening at Alliance College-Ready Public Schools. Our team’s work spans from political advocacy, organizing locally and statewide, community-based stakeholder engagement, Alliance Governing Board management, communications, and Alliance brand & marketing. Requirements / Qualifications

Proficiency with: - Adobe Creative suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Sketch, etc.). - Digital editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.) - Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, etc.). - Google Workspace (email, drive, intranet sites). - Email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, iContact, Mailchimp, etc.). - Video and digital recording equipment Working knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript. Ability to clearly communicate ideas through sketches and verbal presentations. Strong analytical skills, an excellent eye for detail, and a growth mentality to effectively process and apply constructive criticism. Compelling portfolio of work over a wide range of creative projects. Experience in media design for nonprofit or social impact projects is a plus. Experience in professional commercial design, preferably with a marketing or creative agency is a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - At least 3 years of professional work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in graphic arts, design, communication, or related field, from an accredited college or university; OR - At least 5 years of professional work experience and a HS Diploma or equivalent (e.g. G.E.D.)

WORK LOCATION This position will work from a home office in the greater Los Angeles area, with travel to school sites. The successful candidate will be given a $400 work from home set-up allowance and receive a monthly stipend of $100. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS In alignment with our commitment to equity for our scholars, Alliance is committed to equity and transparency for our team and offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience as well as generous retirement and health benefits. This position is exempt. - Compensation: Alliance provides a competitive salary. Based on relevant prior work experience, our salary range for this role is $69,010-$95,790. - Relocation: Individuals residing outside of the Greater Los Angeles area are eligible for a relocation bonus of $5,000 for individuals and $7,500 for new staff with families/partners. - Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision plans options that are covered at 100% of monthly premiums for individual employees and at least $1,000 per month towards family plan premiums. - Retirement: Alliance Home Office employees are eligible for a retirement allowance equal to 7.5% of their regular yearly earnings. - Paid Leave: Regular full-time 12-month employees accrue vacation at a rate of 10 hours/month for a maximum of 180 hours in addition to 10 national holidays as well as a week for Spring Break and a week for Winter Break. - Professional Development: At Alliance, we believe in supporting staff growth and development. Home Office staff are allocated $500 per year for professional development expenses.
