Coachella Valley Unified School District covers more than 1,200 square miles of mostly rural desert terrain, serving the communities of Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. The district currently operates fourteen elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and one adult school. Requirements / Qualifications
The following are required for this position prior to hire: * TB clearance (Required upon hire) * Qualified candidates will be contacted to move forward to get fingerprinted for DOJ & FBI Fingerprint Clearance * Proof of COVID 19 Vaccination (Required upon hire) or Exemption request may be submitted to HR. Substitute classified is an on-call as needed position. The district needs substitutes in the following areas: • Office Support: Microsoft Office Word and Excel preferred • Instructional Support (requires passing Paraeducator basic skills test before hire, test consists of Math, Language, and the ability to assist with instruction. The Human Resources Department will notify selected applications of test date) * Para Educators for CFS: Should you have the Influenza, Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Measles (MMR) vaccines, please upload shot records. * Nutrition Services (requires Food Handlers Card - upload if interested) * Bus Drivers (Class B License with Passenger Endorsement, School Bus Driver Certificate and Medical Examiner's Certificate. All must be uploaded to be considered for this position) * Safety Supervisors * Bus Monitors (CPR Certification) * Campus Security Assistants (Current Guard Card and SB1626 Certificate - upload if interested) * Maintenance & Operations Custodians and Groundskeepers
