Job Summary
Under general direction, the Director I, Education Technology and Innovation (ETI) provides leadership in developing, implementing, and promoting the District’s vision for educational technology and innovation. The ETI Director plans, develops, manages, and coordinates the delivery of ETI services to ensure effective integration of technology and innovation for instruction, student services, and administrative and operational systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized college or university preferably with a major in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, educational technology, or a related academic area.
• Experience leading the design and programming of applications, databases, and operating systems.
• Specialized knowledge of computer applications, operating systems, hardware, telecommunications, and network systems.
• Knowledge of the role educational technologies have in supporting state and District curriculum standards.
• Knowledge of complex network infrastructure, system management, relational database systems and internet services.
• Advanced project management skills.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Strong research skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills in a diverse multi-ethnic setting.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience leading the design and programming of applications, databases, and operating systems in an educational environment.
• Successful teaching and/or administrative experience utilizing technology in the classroom/school
• Knowledge of theories, trends, and practices related to administrative and educational use of technology.
• Knowledge of effective technology integration into teaching and learning in all disciplines.
• Knowledge of integration of innovative programs/strategies into teaching and learning in all disciplines.
