Job Summary
Purpose Statement The Director of Auxiliary programs reports directly to the Director of Athletics and develops and supervises the summer and after-school programs at the school to provide exploratory learning and academic enrichment courses and activities. They will develop and supervise after-school enrichment programs (i.e., math, science, art, and music) and after school and school vacation childcare programming (i.e., school in-service breaks and vacation breaks), and summer camps. They will seek to increase the school’s visibility with prospective (new) full-time students, peer institutions, and other organizations in the wider community through opportunistic Facility Rentals and enrichment classes. Responsibilities of the Director of Auxiliary Programs: Develop, market, schedule, and oversee the entire summer school/camp operation, including academic, extra-curricular, athletic activities. Devise and manage the registration process for prospective students. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teachers and staff members to organize and facilitate auxiliary programs, ensuring that all instructors perform their duties with the highest level of professionalism. In concert with School’s health officials and Emergency Preparedness Team, develop and monitor all safety and health protocols for the auxiliary programs. Schedule regular check-ins with auxiliary program staff and instructors to evaluate, develop, and implement instruction that reflects the vision of the school and meets optimal standards of safety. Monitor student progress and establish standards of student behavior to provide a productive environment and to ensure the optimal condition and safety of all equipment and facilities. Handle disciplinary issues that arise in the after-school or summer programs. Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred Marketing/Sales and program development experience are highly desirable At least 5 to 10 years of teaching and/or administrative experience in a school or youth-serving organization Supervisory experience Successful track record working with a wide range of people Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach Exceptional entrepreneurial and organizational skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively Computer literacy in registration software and proficiency with spreadsheets and presentation software Enthusiastic about working in an academic atmosphere Working hours: generally 9:30 am to 6 pm, with some weekends and evenings. Skills and Essential Functions: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents and students Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to supervise assistant coaches Ability to stand for extended periods of time Adheres to the highest level of professionalism by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and maturity

The salary range is $110,000 - $130,000, plus an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/matching 403b retirement plan and free daily lunch.
