Job Summary
Patrick Henry School has a full time (1.0 FTE), 10 month vacancy. Candidate will teach students in the CTE engineering technology pathway. Concepts include the design process and applying math, science, and engineering standards to hands-on projects. Teacher will instruct students on how to work both individually and in teams to design solutions to a variety of problems using 3-D modeling software, and how to use an engineering notebook to document their work. Must be able to complete Project Lead the Way training.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have or be able to obtain a Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credential naming Engineering and Architecture as the authorized subject. To obtain a CTE: Engineering and Architecture credential see information per the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing (credential information link) guidelines. Will accept copy of official transcripts with BA degree or higher AND detailed resume with experience in this industry- must have at least three years experience. Applicants must have a valid California driver's license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
