
Supervisor of Construction Projects (Facilities) at Anaheim Elementary School District (TK-6)
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or closely related field and five years’ experience in architecture, construction inspection or construction management in an institutional or school environment with experience and familiarity with California Division of the State Architect. • Valid class C California Driver License and use of a personal vehicle. • Knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures, including cost estimating, project scheduling and project management. • Knowledge of methods and materials used by the construction industry in the construction, repair and remodeling of facilities. • Knowledge of Federal and State laws, regulations and operating guidelines relative to the accessibility of public facilities to Americans with Disabilities. • Knowledge of contract management principles including bid preparation and evaluation, contract negotiation and contract administration. • Ability to participate in the planning and design of construction and repair projects to be accomplished by outside contractors, including the preparation of formal bid specification. • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with District administrative personnel, architects, engineers, inspectors, community members, agency personnel and construction contractors. • Ability to gather information and prepare documents for administrative review, such as contracts, change orders and project status reports. • The employee will work in an indoor, outdoor, office, and construction environment. The employee will work with noise from equipment operation. The employee travels to a variety of school and off-site facilities for meetings.
