Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires successful completion of 20 hours of classroom instruction related to skills and safety requirements for driving a school bus and successful completion of 20 hours of instruction behind the wheel of a school bus. REQUIRED LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: Commercial Driver's License - Class B with Passenger/Student Endorsements California Special Drivers Certificate CPR & First Aid Certificate with Medical Examiner's Certificate (for Commercial Driver Medical Certification)

- Driver's License Copy (Class "B" with P/S endorsement)

SELECTION PROCESS: All applications will be screened to ensure application is complete, all certifications are attached, to evaluate training/experience, and ensure applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include an oral exam to be scheduled for all qualified applicants. Those candidates achieving a passing score of 70% or higher will be placed on an eligibility list.
The district-wide eligibility list is valid for one year and will be used to fill full-time, part-time and substitute positions in this classification. The top three ranks of candidates will receive departmental interviews. Additional interviews will be conducted in rank order until all open positions are filled and as vacancies become available.
