The Long Beach Community College District is seeking highly-qualified individuals for current opportunities as a Business Systems Analyst V! This incumbent will help manage and coordinate the application planning, design and implementation of major modules of the District's enterprise system. This serves multiple functions and departments and supports business processes and system coordination for the student administration systems on campus. We are looking for someone who has obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or a closely related discipline. Additionally, this candidate must have six (6) years of progressively responsible professional experience in advising clients on technology solutions, conducting business process analysis, including two (2) years of project management and supervision of team members; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. A Master's degree is preferred and may substitute for some experience. The scope of duties include business process analysis, vendor system change analysis, functional specification development, user testing coordination, and feasibility studies on processing alternatives. The incumbent works closely with the supported business area on campus and Instructional and Information Technology Systems (IITS) staff to achieve district goals. • Salary: MGT RANGE 10 ($105,203 - $143,340 annually)
• Advanced salary placement: Generally, new employees start at the first step on the salary schedule. Advanced salary placement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Eligibility list: We reserve the right to use an established eligibility list for vacancies in this classification. The eligibility list be valid for 12 months once approved by the Personnel Commission.

Duties
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plans, organizes, supervises, and analyzes current and emerging business systems, processes, practices, and work flows in major business or academic areas accessed by users across functional lines, and serves as the principle liaison to vendors for analyzing, modifying or designing changes and new processes to integrate with a variety of enterprise system modules. Supervises teams of mid-to-senior professionals and develops technical specifications, testing, and implementation plans for new systems, system enhancements, improvements, and upgrades.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Education, Training and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management information systems, or closely related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred and may substitute for some experience

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
A valid California driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the District's Vehicle Insurance Policy may be required for certain assignments.
Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the selection process. Candidate qualifications will be assessed to determine those who meet and exceed requirements, and are deemed most competitive amongst the applicant pool to proceed.
