TEACHER 1 DESCRIPTION Under the supervision of the ECEC Program Coordinator, the Teacher 1 will receive work direction from Lead Teachers (CDC Teacher II) in the planning and implementation of daily curriculum of all aspects of a quality program for children aged three months to five years. Work closely with the Lead Teacher to maintain program quality, adhering to State Licensing regulations, Desired Results for all children and the National Association for the Education of Young Children Accreditation Standards. Plan, prepare and implement age appropriate activities in daily curriculum areas such as: language, art, dramatic play, multicultural and social justice awareness, manipulative toys, carts and crafts, block play, problem solving, science, nutrition and outdoor play. ASSISTANT TEACHER DESCRIPTION Under supervision of the ECEC Program Coordinator and direction of the Lead Teacher, The Assistant Teacher will assist in the preparation and implementation of various classroom activities for children aged three months to five years. Assist in creating and teaching age appropriate projects in the areas of literacy, math, science, art, music, dance and cultural awareness. Assist in creating, planning and teaching fine motor activities, such as finger-painting, drawing, painting, stringing beads and manipulatives. Organize and assist supervising children's gross motor activities such as running, jumping, balancing, climbing and dancing. Work with children in small groups or on a one-to-one basis according to their own interests. *See Job Description for more information.
