The role of the Impact Teacher is to provide students with direct instructional support.
Requirements / Qualifications
To apply for the position of Impact Teacher you must meet one (1) of the minimum requirements below: - Multiple Subject Teaching credential w/EL authorization - Verification Letter from the University stating program completion date (must be no later than end of September 2022) of the Multiple Subject Teaching credential w/EL authorization - Eligibility for a University Internship - Eligibility for a Short-Term Staff Permit (Requirements: Degree in Liberal Studies or passage of the CSET AND passage of the Basic Skills Requirement via CBEST or CSET Writing Skills or CSU Early Assessment Program or Qualifying Score on the SAT/ACT or College Board Advanced Placement or passage of Basic Skills from Another State)
In addition to the requirements above, you must complete the EdJoin application and upload the following documents (current MSD employees only need to submit a Letter of Introduction and Resume):
- Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts will be required upon employment)
- Credential Copy (Multiple Subjects Credential w/EL Authorization - detailed document from CTC)
- Letter of Introduction (Addressed to: Dr. David Appling)
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Signed Letters)
- Resume
- Test Results/Materials (CBEST, MSAT/CSET & RICA)

COVID VACCINATION REQUIREMENT
All Magnolia School District Staff are required to submit proof of the COVID vaccination (1st & 2nd dose) OR submit to weekly COVID testing in order to be in compliant to work.
SALARY
-$39.01 per hour / $19,270.94 for the 22/23 school year
WORK YEAR
-Tentative start date is September 2022. Work hours/days for this position will vary depending on work location. Impact Teachers can only work up to 19 hours per week (under contract), totaling 494 hours for the 22/23 school year. Impact Teachers will have the opportunity to work additional days as a substitute during their off track days, at the rate of $210.00 per day.
-An example of a work week as an Impact Teacher is M, T, W & F 8:15am - 1:30pm, with Thursdays being off. This is just an example of one of our sites in order to give you an idea what the hours/days could possibly look like.
