Job Summary

Canyon Hills High School has a full-time (1.0 FTE), 10-month assignment vacancy. The Senior Navy Instructor is assigned within the Canyon Hills High School Navy JROTC program. The Senior Navy Instructor is directed by the Principal and Vice Principal to properly instruct cadets and manage the JROTC unit in accordance with military regulations and district policies and procedures.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualified applicants must be certified by the United States Navy JROTC Headquarters and meet eligibility requirements established by the sponsor of military service in accordance with public law. Must be a retired Navy or Marine Corps 04-06 with no less than 20 years of active service and meet body fat requirements. Achieve a passing score on the CBEST within 1 year and PE CSET exams within 4 years. Ability to obtain ROTC credentials. Minimum Bachelor's Degree or higher. Applicants must have a valid California driver’s license and be prepared to conduct, participate in, and travel to sites, professional development sessions, workshops, and meetings.
