Year-Round Substitutes are assigned to one school site and report every day that school is in session. Health Benefits and Sick Leave Included. Sub rate is temporary and effective through - June 30, 2023 only.

All employees must be cleared through the Department of Justice prior to employment. Substitute Teachers who do not already hold a credential must qualify for a substitute teacher permit with the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Madera Unified will assist you in applying for a substitute permit. To qualify for an Emergency 30 Day Substitute Permit, you must provide: Official transcripts showing the conferral of a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Basic skills requirement.
