Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, the Director of Secondary Education is to provide leadership and vision in the ongoing planning, implementation, development, review and evaluation of the district’s curriculum and instructional services.

Requirements / Qualifications

• A valid California Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility • Master’s degree in from an accredited college/university, preferably in educational administration or related field • Doctorate degree with specialization in the field of curriculum & instruction or related field preferred • Five years of successful teaching experience at the secondary level, high school specifically preferred • Three years of successful administrative or supervisory experience at a secondary level, high school specifically preferred
