Job Summary

Job Summary

Provides direct and consultation services to students, school staff and parents/guardians related to positive behavior support. Duties include observing, collecting, and analyzing data for a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA), assisting with development of Behavior Intervention Plans, consulting with district behavior support staff teachers, other support staff, attending IEP meetings and training district staff on the philosophy and principles of Positive Behavior Support.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS Degree in Psychology, Education, Educational Psychology, Social Work, Behavioral Psychology, or other related field, required. Must be certified or become certified by the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) in non-violent crisis interventions (NCPI). Completion of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certificate, and two years of experience working with special needs population, preferably in the area of behavior or autism services, required.

Applications will be screened and those considered most qualified will be invited to a written exam date to be determined. After review of the assessment those most qualified will be invited to an interview. If qualified and interested, an application and required documents shall be submitted electronically via the Edjoin website. A complete application packet must include the following: LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with the state of California. Verification of BA/BS Degree (Official transcripts will be required upon offer of employment). Valid California driver’s license.
