Job Summary

Mission Viejo High School is seeking an enthusiastic, full-time replacement Agriscience Instructor for its two-teacher program. The selected applicant will teach a combination of courses from the agriscience, animal science or plant science pathways currently offered to the student body. This position includes an FFA stipend and summer contract that covers overseeing students at the OC Fair every July and management of the extensive school farm facility which houses both agriculture classrooms, a workroom and storage room, a greenhouse, raised planter beds, livestock paddocks, appropriate housing for all student livestock projects (market and breeding) and a brand-new barn. The Mission Viejo Agriculture program is strongly supported by the local community and administration and is located in the heart of Orange County, close to major freeways, shopping centers, and affordable housing. The Saddleback Valley School district has a competitive salary schedule with graduate unit credit and easy step progression.

Appropriate credential routes: • California Single Subject Credential: Agriculture • California Career Technical Ed (CTE): Agriculture and Natural Resources • Ability to obtain California CTC: Agriculture and Natural Resources Attach all supporting documents for your application to be considered.   • Credential Copy (Valid Single Subject, CTE or ability to obtain CTE in Agriculture)
