Job Summary

Job Summary

Santee Education Complex is seeking a highly effective, transformational urban instructional leader to drive change and dramatically improve academic culture and student achievement. The selected candidate will have a proven track record of increasing and accelerating student achievement, as evidenced by performance data, and will be prepared to lead the students, staff, and community toward dramatic academic improvement and success. Reporting to the school principal, the successful candidate will be a committed and entrepreneurial school leader who is excited by the challenge of school transformation and making a real difference in the lives and future college and career choices of Latinx and African American students. S/he will be prepared to accept the complexities and challenges of working with various stakeholders as we work to deliver an excellent education to all students. The successful candidate will be expected to support the Partnership’s key instructional initiatives, which focus on teacher development, standards-aligned instruction, and social-emotional learning. The candidate will be well-versed in high school level pedagogy, school operations, and the restorative approach to managing a school.
