Description

TVT is currently accepting applications for substitute teachers.

Substitutes will be called on as-needed basis, ranging from one day to long-term situations.

Ideal candidates will have experience working with students in grades 6-12 and a classroom setting.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides learning experiences and teaches the lessons of study prescribed by the classroom teacher or administrator.
  • Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students.
  • Establishes and maintains standards of student control required to achieve effective participation in all activities.
  • Follows school protocols and procedures.

Experience, Skills and knowledge areas:

  • Experience working with middle and high school aged students
  • Experience in the classroom
  • Ability to follow lesson plans (short term assignment)
  • Ability to create lesson plans (long term assignment)
  • Classroom Management & Discipline Student engagement
  • Technology Integration

 

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Flexibility
  • Knowledge of relevant technology 

 

Compensation:

$30.00 per hour short term assignment

Long Term Assignment - based upon, but not limited to, several factors that include type and years of experience, education level, and expertise.
