Requirements / Qualifications
Description: Under the supervision of the Associate Superintendent of Instructional Services or designee, coordinates and manages all aspects of the Wellness Centers. Facilitate personnel and peer support services for the purpose of increasing access to mental health services. Coordinate the integration of disparate services from a variety of funding sources and organizations to unify care coordination and service provision through one centralized program. General services provided virtually and/or on school campuses include but are not limited to suicide prevention and service planning for students in need of ongoing health and wellness services. The Director must work effectively with people representing diverse perspectives and needs, including all genders. Employment Standards: 1.Certified Social Worker License (CWW) or Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW) or Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) 2. 5 years or more of related experience in the field of student health, wellness or social emotional support may be substituted for the CWW, LCSW license or PPS credential. 3.California driver’s license and the ability to travel to other sites and locations throughout the district and county 4.Master's degree and five (5) to eight (8) years of progressive experience in counseling, public health or related field. 5.Applied understanding of student development and/or health promotion theories and practice, including the impact of student health and wellness on student success. 6.Demonstrated intercultural competence, and a continuing commitment to advance equity, inclusion, and social justice practices in support of a diverse community. 7.Experience supervising professional and student staff members. 8.Impeccable integrity and ability to handle complex, sensitive, and confidential issues. 9.Strong organizational and program development skills. 10.Experience with budget management and an understanding of how to use limited financial resources.
