Teach a school-approved curriculum while creating a classroom and total school environment that is conducive to learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Builds effective relationships with parents and students through regular communication and is available to students and parents for education-related purposes, e.g., open house, conferences, extra-curricular activities. Participates in professional growth and development and stay current with research through continuing education, educational seminars, workshops, conferences, of the subject taught, and attendance at corporation-sponsored inservices. Teaches students to work collaboratively to solve problems and to think logically and creatively. Completes other duties as assigned. Maintains a strong, regular personal attendance record.

The San Diego Cooperative Charter School in Linda Vista is hiring a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher for our community. This person will work with a team teacher and will be responsible for creating differentiated curriculum. Embedding social emotional instruction and building community are two other important elements.
Our project-based charter school welcomes candidates who have a thorough understanding of child development and constructivist pedagogy. Teachers differentiate custom-built curriculum considering the needs, learning styles and strengths of individual students.
