OVERVIEW: San Diego Unified School District, the second largest district in California and one of the top largest urban school districts in the United States, is seeking a <b>Program Manager, Teaching and Learning assigned to Integrated Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (IMTSS) and Behavior Support Services (BSS), Special Education</b>. BASIC FUNCTION: The <b>Program Manager, assigned to IMTSS and BSS, Special Education</b> will coordinate and manage special projects within the assigned department, including academic and behavioral interventions and supports; facilitate cross departmental functions, communication, and collaboration to support effective implementation of key instructional initiatives leading to college and career readiness for all students. The Behavior Support Services Department's mission is to enhance the capacity of staff throughout the district by partnering with school site integrated teams to meet the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of all students within an Integrated Multi-tiered System of Support which includes Academics, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).

POSITION SPECIFICS: - Working Location is based out of the Special Education Office at the Education Center - 4100 Normal Street, San Diego, CA 92103 - Scheduled for 40 hours per week, 248 Days / 12 months per year - Qualifies for District Paid health and wellness benefits for employee and dependents The Program Manager, Teaching and Learning: IMTSS & BSS will be paid on the AASD Certificated Supervisors Salary Schedule, Plan 0708. Salary Grade: 30.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to a master’s degree in education and minimum of five years of recent, directly related teaching and/or leadership experience. Experience with positive behavior intervention, response to intervention and academic intervention and support is highly preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Administrative Services Credential. Valid California driver’s license.
