The site houses a Student Support Center with a full-time social worker supporting students in areas such as how to resolve conflict, how to employ Social Emotional Learning character strengths, and how to believe that if you work hard, you can get smarter. Teachers support students by providing them a safe learning environment.
Bowling Green McCoy’s new principal should be well versed in the unique aspects of a Charter School such as charter laws, operations, finances, and LCAP. They will be expected to work closely with the principal of the neighboring learning community under the same Charter to renew the charter documents and further the success of the school. Furthermore, the new principal will need to address areas of concern surrounding low performance in English Language Arts and Mathematics across several student groups.
