Job Summary

The job of Student/Parent Advocate Program Specialist is done for the purpose/s of supporting the educational process by serving as a resource for students and parent involvement to promote student academic achievement; focusing on student social and emotional issues; working under direct supervision of a Guidance Learning Specialist or Assistant Principal/Vice Principal to accomplish various tasks such as attendance, grades, and behavior; and conducting a variety of parent education training modules.

SELECTION PROCESS: All employees of Sanger Unified School District holding the title of Student/Parent Advocate who request a transfer will be granted a site interview. At least three candidates must be interviewed. If there are less than three qualified transfer requests received, applicants from the Eligibility List will also be interviewed for a total of at least three candidates. HOW TO APPLY: Written requests to transfer to this position must be submitted to the SUSD Personnel Commission Office, 1905 7th St., Sanger, CA 93657. Transfer forms are available from the Personnel Commission Office, Human Resources, or on the SUSD website. Go to 'HR' > 'Forms' > 'Transfer Request' to complete the form.
