Job Summary
Wasco Union High School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Technology. The position is full time, eight hours per day, twelve months per year, and five days per week. Excellent Health and Welfare Benefits: Health, dental, vision, prescription and life insurance is provided by the District for full-time employees and their family.
Requirements / Qualifications
Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Director of Technology oversees the planning, staffing, and ongoing operations of the Technology Department. Areas of responsibility include the purchase and maintenance of all technology, peripherals, and network equipment as well as software. Works closely with the Chief Business Official to develop and prepare the annual preliminary budget for the Technology Department. Exemplification of pride in responsibilities and duties. Maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of the work and the ability to meet the public and present a positive image of the school district Required Qualifications: • Education and experience equivalent to an Associate degree in computer science, management information systems or a related field and four years of increasingly responsible experience managing complex local areas and wide area networking using routing and bridging • High school graduate or the equivalent • Experience with formalized systems analysis techniques, project management, and information systems implementation • Working knowledge of network operating systems and network management tools; audio visual • Skilled in supervising others; coordinating and facilitating complex technological undertakings; and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others • Ability to continuously update personal knowledge of various information technologies Desired Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • Master’s Degree • Technology Field Certification(s) • Project Management Certification(s)
