Computer Science Specific Able to teach all aspects of computer programming including proper syntax, data array structures, programming, algorithm development, configuration control, test and troubleshooting Ability to explain programming language as it relates to control systems in robotic to students Advanced Robotics Course Specific (for Iron Kodiak Team)- capstone Collaborate with Engineering pathway to further develop growing STEM CTE pathway(s), working towards FIRST Robotics Team as a capstone course Facilitating FRC team for safety, training, outreach, and recognition. Ability to teach core robotics fundamentals with a range of robotics platforms (Arduino, Vex, etc) using performance and design based challenges Knowledge of FIRST Robotics Competition and their core values Works with Lead mentor to manage and support students, mentors, and volunteers Responsible for communicating, collaborating, advocating for, and coordinating students on the Team 5137 the FIRST Robotics Competition Team Collaborating with Lead Mentor, mentors, student leaders, parent booster to fundraise, manage, and support various aspects of the team Acts as primary contact for team (students, mentors, and parents) Collaborate with school site and district personnel to manage facility use, waivers, forms, event/field trip approvals, mentor/volunteer approvals Manage logistics for team events (competitions, workshops, team meeting schedules) Works with student Safety Captain and Lead Mentor to manage team’s safety Collaborates with GBEF to encourage parent support Works with GBEF to manage budget and disbursement of funds for team events and materials
