Our Immanuel Lutheran Preschool staff serves the church by supervising the activities of Immanuel’s preschool children in the classroom and playground; maintains a clean and safe environment for the children; and supports the teachers and director, while supporting the Mission, Vision and Values of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Comply with California Licensing Regulation Title 22 at all times. 2. Prepare and distribute morning and afternoon snacks. 3. Give morning and/or afternoon breaks to teachers. 4. Keep the kitchen clean and the dishes put away. 5. Be able to work well with a team. 6. Be a Christian role-model representing Immanuel Lutheran. 7. Be flexible and able to adapt. 8. Monitor children for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment. 9. Administer minor first aid. 10. Perform housekeeping for the purpose of maintaining a safe, orderly and sanitary environment. 11. Confer with parents, children, staff, supervisors, etc. for the purpose of conveying and/or receiving information for the purpose of the child’s well-being and establishing a bond of trust. 12. Report observations and incidents (e.g. accidents, inappropriate behavior, violations of rules, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to the teacher/director. 13. Participate in various meetings (e.g. staff development, staff meetings, etc.) for the purpose of sharing information and/or improving one’s skills and knowledge. 14. Assist in outdoor activities. 15. Assist teachers in group activities. 16. Be an active member of a Christ-centered church, whose teachings are based solely on God’s written word, the Bible. 17. Perform other job related duties as assigned for the purpose of supporting the director and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: 12 Core ECE units, required Experience in preschool setting, desired First Aid and CPR certification, desired Prior to employment, must have a negative TB test
