Narrative of job: We want a compassionate, creative, organized, and effective communicator to join our Notre Dame Community. After-School Extension Director will be supervising and implementing imaginative after-school play and curriculum for kids in grades TK-8th Directors work an average of 20-25 hours weekly throughout the school year. Essential responsibilities include: ·      You will supervise and instruct a group of 20-30 students. You'll prepare and implement arts and craft activities, supervise homework hour, supervise, create and encourage outdoor playtime  · You  will manage a safe environment for students. You'll set up and clean up daily, ensuring all spaces are ready for students to utilize.  What are we looking for? · Must be at least 20 years old · College students pursuing work in education, college graduates, or equivalent work experience · Experience working in schools, after-school programs, supplementary learning programs, summer camps, or with K-8th grade children in another capacity    · Demonstrated leadership experience    · Ability to work part-time August-June (20-25 hours per week), between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm Monday through Friday    · Readiness to stick around and commit to at least one entire school year · Must be CPR/First Aid certified, TB tested and fingerprinted before starting this role.
