Requirements / Qualifications

The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking a High School Activities Director. The High School Activities Director is responsible to the school principal, and shall be responsible for student body financial accounts, function as an advisor for all student body activities, supervise and evaluate teachers as assigned by the site principal, and conduct leadership ASB classes. For a full description of this classification, please review the job description. REQUIREMENTS -Appropriate California administrative services credential OR If you do not hold a clear of preliminary Administrative credential, we are accepting all who hold: (a) Administrative Certificate of Eligibility (b) Intern Eligible for an Administrative Credential (MOU between University and District is required) (c) Variable Term Waiver filed by the District (maximum 2 years) – first year, will need proof of enrollment in an intern program, proof of BA, and CBEST. If needed, a second year Variable Term Waiver can be renewed with transcripts showing 12 semester units toward Administration OR proof of passing the CPACE Exam) -Master’s degree or equivalent -Four years of successful classroom teaching

PREFERENCES -Prior experience implementing associated student body programs in accordance with state and federal regulations -Experience in leadership positions -Club advisor or coach -Single subject teaching credential in any subject -Secondary teaching experience -Certificate of copy of (CBEST, NTE, PRAXIS, CSET, and/or MSAT) -Spanish desired The following MUST be submitted with the application: -Ed-Join Employment Application -A cover letter addressed to Human Resources with the following: •Explain the relevance of your career history and goals to the requirements of this position. •Why do you want this position? •What makes you a great fit for this position? -A detailed resume outlining your qualifications for this position -Three signed letters of professional references (within one year) which can attest to your technical and managerial competence.
