Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Pupil Services and the site administrator or designee, to serve as a liaison supporting and promoting student attendance, academic guidance and advisement, school connectedness and pupil/parent engagement at the elementary or middle school level. Performs a variety of clerical and technical tasks to support and assist personnel, students, and parents at a school site or district facility; and to do related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: One year of experience working with multi-age groups of children. Experience in working with diverse populations including students with special needs, including student’s parents/guardians. Elementary or Middle School experience is desirable. Education: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, and one of the following: 1) completed two years of study at an institution of higher education (48 semester units); 2) obtained an associate’s (or higher) degree; or 3) meet a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics (or, as appropriate, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness). **If you are not a current Instructional Aide and do not hold either a Chaffey Adult Certificate, 48 semester units or a degree, you will need to take the Etiwanda School District Instructional Aide test. If you are selected or being considered, we will contact you with the testing date information.
