Job Summary
The Human Recourses Assistant will assist with the onboarding of new employees, maintain current HR files and databases, and assist with various other projects or other office duties. The Human Resources Assistant may also be required at times to assist with Valley Christian Schools Transportation services. This is an entry level Human Resources position.

Job Duties
- Update applicants in HRIS and other internal lists.
- Communicate new hire information to appropriate personnel.
- Assist new employees with onboarding process by helping with hire paperwork, issuing forms and verifying completion.
- Schedule final interview appointment with schools Superintendent and President.
- Update and maintain accurate employee personnel files.
- Maintain and prepare accurate records and reports.
- Submit and prepare payment(s) for monthly benefit invoices.
- Assists in adding and updating changes to employee’s personal information, benefits, salary, etc. by utilizing the HRIS system.
- Maintains manager and employee confidence by keeping human resources information confidential.
- Communicate efficiently with employees, supervisors, school administrators and parents; receive requests, questions, concerns and suggestions and provide routine information and assistance or forward to appropriate personnel.
- Assists with communicating and maintaining current COVID-19 safety guidelines for employees and students Completes employment verifications and other similar requests as necessary.
- Assist with communication with First Student and Valley Christian Community regarding bus transportation.
- Respond to all phone calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
- May assist VCS Transportation Department at New Parent Orientation, all Prospective Open Houses and Back to Schools Nights.

Professional Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of effective office experience is required.
- Associate of Arts degree highly desirable

- Other related duties and projects as assigned.

Public Contact
- Daily contact with teachers, staff, coaches, students, parents, guests and school administrators.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to work at a computer and use other office equipment such as fax, copier. No heavy lifting is required.
Job Conditions
- Work will be in a school office environment.
- No travel is required for this position.
