Job Summary
The Elementary School Office Administrative Assistant, under the supervision of the Principal and Vice Principal, assists in and performs a variety of administrational and secretarial duties in the school office. This is a full-time hourly position.

Job Duties
- Answer incoming phone calls including fielding questions and giving application information
- Greet parents.
- Assist students with first aid and contact parents when necessary.
- Label, securely store, and administer student medications.
- Maintain first aid office.
- Enter students’ daily attendance and tardies in computer and verify student absences.
- Email meeting minutes to appropriate faculty and staff members.
- Help with the monthly parent newsletter
- Create and maintain a cleaning plan for the teachers’ room.
- Support the campus administrative team with calendar management.
- Advise administrators of Employee birthdays.
- Provide medications to teachers for field trips.
- Inventory supplies in Health Room and Teacher’s room.
- Work on other duties or reports as needed

- Have a proven evidence of adequate preparation, background and ability required by the position.
- Be committed to implement and enforce policies and follow prescribed procedures.
- Have the skill to make and effectively communicate timely decisions.
- Have the ability to foster creativity and be responsible for creative ideas.
Professional Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in an office or school setting is preferred.
Job Skills
- Proficient in use of Power Point, Excel, Word and Calendaring software programs.
- Highly organized
- Excellent writing skills.
- Some college of education preferred.

Physical Demands
- Must be able to work at a computer and use other office equipment such as fax, copier. No heavy lifting is required or necessary.
Job Conditions
- Work is performed in a school and office environment during a regular 40 hour work week. Occasional overtime may be necessary. This position is not required to travel.
