Job Summary

Responsible for assisting the Executive Director of Special Education in the coordination, monitoring, evaluation and development of assigned Special Education programs within the Ventura Unified School District. Advise and support site Special Education teams in best practices in the utilization of specialized methods regarding the delivery of curriculum and instruction in order to meet the individual needs of all learners, the development of effective and student centered IEP's, facilitation of the entirety of the Special Education process, and professional development of Special Education faculty and staff as it pertains to their assigned specialization.

Requirements / Qualifications

7 years of experience teaching Special Education Classes preferred

Interested Candidates should possess either: Education Specialist Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe OR Pupil Personnel Services-School Psychologist

  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 Letters of Recommendation)
  • Resume
  • Test Results/Materials

  • Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Mild/Moderate (or Moderate/Severe OR PPS School Psychologist)

  • Pupil Personnel Services Credential - School Psychology (OR Education Specialist Mild/Mod, Mod/Sev)
