Job Summary
The Program Coordinator, Reaching the Whole Child (RTWC) serves as the Innovation & Engagement Branch Liaison to public and private community agencies, colleges/universities, San Bernardino County Behavioral and Public Health departments, and the California Department of Education (CDOE) as these groups collaborate strategically to integrate health services and programs more deeply into the day-to-day life of schools and students in San Bernardino County. This position is responsible for managing grants, programs and initiatives that ensure the health, safety and well-being of students, the staff and school environment. The Program Coordinator supports activities and performs duties related to all components of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) model including professional learning, coaching and technical assistance. Projects/services include health education & services, social and emotional climate, nutrition environment services, physical environment, family engagement, community environment, employee wellness, counseling, psychological, and social services, drug prevention/awareness, and physical education. The individual provides leadership in designing, organizing, facilitating, implementing. and presenting workshops, conferences, and trainings to administrators, teachers, nurses, counselors, school support staff, and students.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Possession of a valid California Teaching or Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) School Counseling credential; • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services credential; • Three (3) years working as a school, district, and/or site administrator; • Three (3) years of experience in school health, school counseling, and/or as a teacher in related health programs
